I'm 12 weeks Pregnant!!!

12 Weeks- Mummy's and baby's development:
Welcome to your second trimester! Your raging hormones could be calming down a bit and you may also notice your nausea tapering off. Most women happily wave goodbye to morning sickness around now (although queasiness can return periodically throughout pregnancy). This week, your baby's face looks much more human. Her eyes have moved closer together and her ears are just about where they should be. Your baby has entered what is known as the fetal period, when tissues and organs rapidly grow and mature. Many women enjoy pregnancy much more in this trimester - early symptoms fade and the risk of miscarriage drops dramatically. We hope this is the way it turns out for you, and we're here to support you through all the ups and downs of the weeks to come.
And...
Your baby's face is beginning to look more human, even though she is only about 2 inches/5.5cms long from her crown to her rump and weighs slightly less than half an ounce/ 14 grams. The eyes, which started out on the sides of the head, have moved closer together. The ears are almost in their normal position on the side of the head. The liver is making bile and the kidneys are secreting urine in the bladder.

The fetus squirms if your abdomen is prodded, although you cannot yet feel movement. Fetal nerve cells have been multiplying rapidly and synapses (neurological connections in your brain) are forming. The fetus has acquired more reflexes: touching the palms makes the fingers close, touching the soles of the feet makes the toes curl down and touching the eyelids makes the eye muscles clench.
Your doctor can now feel the top of the uterus, also known as the fundus, low in the abdomen. As you enter the second trimester, you may find yourself donning looser, less restrictive clothing. Soon you won't be able to fit into your regular clothes any more.

You may now find that once the "sickness" feeling has passed, your appetite returns.

How Biyu's life's changing

With luck your nausea will be on the wane and you'll soon be feeling more energetic. You're probably also feeling relieved because your risk of miscarriage has now dropped dramatically. It might seem hard to believe if you're still in the throes of morning sickness, but you'll soon regain your appetite. Just make sure any meat that you eat is thoroughly cooked to reduce any chance of toxoplasmosis - no rare steaks for you and at barbecues, take care that you only eat cuts that are well done.
Your teeth and gums can be more prone to disease during pregnancy so plan a dental check-up while you are pregnant; but make sure your dentist knows not to give you an x-ray. You may notice that your gums bleed more now so floss as well as brush. If you are worried or unsure about using over-the-counter remedies talk to your doctor or ask your local pharmacist for immediate advice.

You're probably wearing loose clothing, though it's because of your emerging bulge more than any real weight you've gained. You may feel that you need a new style to suit your new figure or a new skin or make-up routine - take a peek at our beauty tips from Bobbi Brown. It's a good time to rethink your look. There are plenty of maternity wear ranges to choose from either on the high street or through mail order. One or two good quality basics should see you through most of your pregnancy. For special occasions you can choose from some of the smarter and more sophisticated lines which are thankfully now available.

Taken from website update: babycenter.com. Ini jela yang Biyu boleh rely on sebab setakat nie, appointment doctor memang takkan ada sampaila january... huhuhu rasa lama nyaaaa nak tunggu tengok the 'real' baby development. Tapi Insyaallah berkat doa suami and keluarga, Biyu and baby will be aaiitte.... Insyallah amin....

Waaahhh perasaan Biyu memang 12 weeks la rasanya... perut dah membesar sikit dari biasa, bukannya lemak ye.. sebab selalu kalau lemak boleh 'suck it in' lagi... nie.. memang sia sia la tarik nafas... memang akan sentiasa berbonggol sedikit... walaupun hospital & doctor sini hanya acknowledge Biyu baru 10 minggu pregnant, Biyu tak kira!!! Nak 12 weeks jugak! :-)
And memang Alhamdulillah dah tak loya sangat... makan sikit then senak masih ada... tapi satu je... sejak 11 weeks diorang kata akan rasa 'butterfly' in the stomach.. Tapi tak pun? Wallahualam...seperti experts kata, lain orang lain process pregnancy & baby dia.... Hanya Tuhan yang tahu
